Geoffrey White has 28+ years of expertise in Will, Estate and Trust matters. He assists clients both at his “heritage” office in Kelowna and at Clark Wilson LLP in downtown Vancouver. Geoff is an editor of B.C.’s Probate & Estate Administration Practice Manual, which is acknowledged as the primary source for all estate matters in the province. He has litigated estate and trust matters at all levels of court including the BC Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. These matters include: discretionary trusts, multiple wills, removal of an executor, and international conflict of laws. He is a past chair of the BC Law Foundation, and has held leadership roles with national Canadian Bar Association, the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners, and Estate Planning Societies. Geoffrey White has been recognized by Best Lawyers Canada for Trusts and Estate Law since 2019. Geoffrey was honoured with the title of King's counsel on December 2, 2021.

Braeden is an articled student focusing on estate administration, trust administration and estate litigation. Braeden has been with our office since 2009. Braeden is full (TEP) member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having received his Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration from STEP Canada in 2018 and STEP Diploma in 2020. Braeden is currently the Deputy Chair of STEP Canada's Okanagan Chapter. Braeden is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Kelowna Estate Planning Society, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. Braeden received his Paralegal Diploma, with honours, from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2008, and his Bachelor's of Business Administration (Honours) degree, with distinction, from Okanagan College in 2020, and his J.D. degree from the University of Victoria in 2024. In addition to his volunteer work with STEP Canada, Braeden frequently volunteers as faculty, a presenter, and a contributor for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. Braeden is also a co-author of the CLE Probate and Estate Administration Practice Manual and the Lexis Nexis book ‘British Columbia Estate Litigation’.

Deborah is our estate planning and Corporate Paralegal and has been with our office since 2011. Prior to joining our office, Deborah worked for nearly 15 years as a legal assistant in a wide range of law areas including estate planning, estate administration, tax and succession planning, corporate reorganizations, company law, and estate litigation. Previous to that, Deborah taught secondary school in Vancouver. Deborah earned a BEd from UBC Vancouver and a Legal Assistant Diploma from Okanagan University College. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, yoga, and hiking.

Angela has been at our office since 2021, and is part of our estate planning and estate administration departments. Angela is also our office manager. Prior to joining the office, Angela worked for nearly 20 years as a legal assistant in a variety of areas including estate planning, estate administration and conveyancing. Angela earned a Bachelor Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Windsor, ON before moving to the Okanagan in July 1998. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her three children, playing volleyball and enjoying all the Okanagan has to offer.
Kaitlyn Courtney

Kaitlyn has been at our office since 2019, is part of our estate administration and litigation departments, and has previous experience in estate planning. Kaitlyn received her Legal Administrative Assistant Certificates from Okanagan College in 2018 and was the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal for Vocational Studies as the graduate with the highest grade average. Kaitlyn is an affiliate member of the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and is working towards earning her Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration from STEP Canada. Outside of the office, Kaitlyn can be found taking part in group fitness classes or spending time with her family.
